With your car-sickness, driving to/fro the extended family is a very tricky business. Getting back from this last Christmas was the first time we hit upon stopping at a mall instead of a rest-stop for our regular two-hour-mark sojourn. We lingered a bit longer than was safe for our car rental return (let's forego even getting into everything that went wrong with our car-rental plans this trip) but it was worth it for a relaxed lunch and happier, puke-free trip.
